LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Trial Bay Gaol is 5km from the small town of South West Rocks and is close to the mouth of the Macleay River, which is a popular fishing spot as well as access to deep sea fishing grounds.
Trial Bay provides several swimming beaches.
Horseshoe Bay beach and Main beach at South West Rocks are patrolled by Surf Life Saving Club in holiday periods as well as weekends during the summer months. These beaches are generally safe for swimming, with occasional small waves. Trial Bay Gaol beach at the camping area is a very safe swimming beach for those who prefer calm water.
Little Bay beach is not patrolled and at times is not safe for swimming due to strong currents.
